Evidence suggests that the immune system and the neuroendocrine system interact but the impact of this on all physiological systems is only beginning to be appreciated. Reproduction, driven mainly by neuroendocrine systems, in particular is highly susceptible to immune factors, especially during pregnancy and childhood when a delicate immune balance needs to be maintained. The symposium aims to present current understanding of neuro-endocrine-immune interaction over the range of reproductive physiology.
